Chemistry lessons are designed in a way that appeals to students and is achieved through an interactive lesson format including many practice questions and short quizzes,thus allowing students to shift from ‘reproducing’ to ‘understanding’. The small group environment allows students to work as a team and push each other through friendly competition to maximise their potential for success.
One of the many focuses of the new Chemistry syllabus is “nature and practice.” For the parts of the syllabus that require students to carry out a practical experiment, we always discuss the theory behind the practical and highlight any important issues that are relevant as the students should have already done the practical at school. This includes talking about the reasons why it can go wrong, how to improve it, specific calculations involved, etc. We also try our best to demonstrate the practical where appropriate and possible.

Homework is distributed weekly ensuring students practice the skills learnt in class.Students mark their own homework and see exactly where they went wrong. Students are then given an opportunity to ask for help in the next lesson where their educator will go through problems in class.
Informal assessments are carried out during class where teachers observe students’ level of progress through class work and give written and verbal feedback. Students are also tested at the end of each module.
Students are given formal Half Yearly, Yearly and Trial exams and feedback is provided to the student. These results are used to determine areas of need and become a focal point for further learning.
Our Chemistry workbooks are the best we’ve ever created that specifically target the learning process. They include comprehensive Chemistry content while still being presented in an easily understandable manner.
The workbooks also include a wide variety of dot point by dot point questions that you can practice on to master your content knowledge and prepare you for exams.
Strategies and worked answers have been also been added to provide students with the tools that are needed to approach each question.
Student attendance, homework completion and understanding of content taught is recorded on a weekly basis for tracking purposes
